Monogram Wall은 브랜드의 모노그램을 건축적 지오메트리로 확장해 하나의 벽체로 만드는 파라메트릭 시스템입니다. 로고는 점차 추상화되며 건축 요소로 바뀌고, 은은한 리플(Ripple)이 브랜드 아이덴티티를 절제된 방식으로 공간에 스며들게 합니다.

Monogram Wall은 브랜드의 모노그램을 그래픽이나 사인이 아니라 건축을 이루는 재료이자 형태로 재해석한 파라메트릭 벽체 시스템입니다.

디자인은 모노그램의 외곽 지오메트리에서 시작됩니다. 로고의 윤곽은 끊김 없이 연장되며 점차 추상화되고, 하나의 평면으로 Loft되어 벽체 전체를 이룹니다. 이 과정에서 모노그램은 형태로서는 사라지지만, 그 흔적은 벽면에 남아 미세한 리플(Ripple)로 드러납니다. 가까이에서는 브랜드의 기원을 읽을 수 있고, 멀리에서는 절제된 건축적 표면으로 보입니다.

리플의 깊이와 간격, 모노그램의 크기와 전이 방식은 모두 Grasshopper 기반 파라메트릭 시스템으로 제어하며, 브랜드의 특성과 공간 규모에 맞춰 자유롭게 조정할 수 있습니다. 같은 설계 로직을 여러 프로젝트에 적용하면서도 브랜드마다 고유한 표면을 만들어 냅니다.

제작도 디지털 설계와 이어집니다. 생성된 형상으로 CNC 스티로폼 몰드를 정밀 가공하고, 그 몰드에 GFRC를 타설해 최종 형상을 구현합니다. 이 워크플로우로 복잡한 자유곡면을 높은 정밀도로 생산하면서 반복 제작도 할 수 있습니다.

설계 단계에서는 다양한 디자인 대안을 실시간으로 생성해 비교할 수 있고, 형상과 함께 재료 사용량과 제작 수량을 산출해 디자인과 생산을 하나의 프로세스로 묶습니다. Monogram Wall은 브랜드를 벽 위에 적용하는 대신, 브랜드 자체를 건축으로 바꾸는 건축 제품입니다.

A parametric wall system that turns brand identity into architecture.

Monogram Wall extends a brand's monogram into architectural geometry to form a single wall. The logo is progressively abstracted into an architectural element, and a subtle ripple lets the identity settle into the space without announcing itself.

Monogram Wall reinterprets a brand's monogram not as graphic or signage, but as a material and a form that builds architecture.

Design begins with the outline geometry of the monogram. The contour extends continuously, grows more abstract, and lofts into a single surface that becomes the whole wall. The monogram disappears as a shape, but its trace remains as a fine ripple: up close you can read the origin of the brand, at a distance you see one restrained architectural surface.

Ripple depth and spacing, monogram scale and transition are all controlled by a Grasshopper-based parametric system, tuned to the character of the brand and the scale of the space. One design logic serves many projects while producing a surface unique to each brand.

Fabrication is tied to the same digital model. The generated form is CNC-machined as a styrofoam mould, then cast in GFRC for the final piece — a workflow that holds high precision on complex free-form surfaces while remaining repeatable.

During design, alternatives are generated and compared in real time, with material volume and part counts calculated alongside the geometry, connecting design and production as one process. Monogram Wall does not apply a brand onto a wall; it converts the brand into architecture itself.
